Iginio Straffi
Iginio Straffi is the
founder of Rainbow SpA, one of the most successful animation studios
in Europe. He is a successful designer, director and producer of
animation series. Iginio is the creator of the popular 'Winx Club'
series, which is broadcast worldwide. Among his other hit series are
'Tommy & Oscar' (created as an interactive CD-Rom and then as a TV
series), 'Prezzy' (a TV series inspired by the Gardaland theme park
mascot) and 'Monster Allergy' (based on the Disney comic books).
Straffi began his career working for comic studios and publishing
houses. During his university years, he made comics for the
prestigious review Comic Art. At the age of 19, he was hired by
Bonelli Editore in Milan, where he worked on the 'Nick Raider' comic
book series. At age 27, he moved to France and worked as a
storyboard artist. Rainbow SpA was founded in March, 1995 and he has
not looked back since.
